Pink Bourbon is the variety Colombian producers plant when they want to win competitions. Washed and roasted medium, it is the most balanced cup we sell.
The story
Grown at high elevation in Huila’s steep Andean valleys, fully washed and dried under parabolic cover. Pink Bourbon is a low-yielding variety, which is why you see it on far fewer bags than Castillo or Caturra. 87 points.
In the cup
Caramel sweetness, a sparkling clarity through the middle and a finish that stays even from first sip to last. Low acidity, medium sweetness, no spikes anywhere.
Brew it right
Genuinely does both. Espresso: 18 g in, 38 g out in about 28 seconds. Filter: 1:16 at 93°C. The safe bag for a household with different brewers.
Roasted to order in small batches and shipped within 48 hours of the roast date. Every bag carries its roast date on the label.
How to brew
Works both ways. Filter: 60 g per litre (1:16) at 93 degrees C. Espresso: 18 g in, 38 g out in about 28 seconds. Rest 5-7 days after the roast date.
